Heroes of the 442nd

Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog

A Tribute to The Heroes of The 442nd

Michael Clarion: far right

From this experience of helping to create this blog, I’ve learned alot of things about WWII and its gallant heroes of the 442nd. I honor the bravery, courage, and dedication of the 442nd. They fought for their country, America, even though their country didn’t believe in them. It must of been very hard to be of Japenese ancestry during that time, and to be able to volunteer for a country that hated you must of took a lot of guts. They did it to prove America their loyalty. And during the war, loyal is all that they were. I truly praise their bravery to risk their lives for their fellow troops and for their country, especially since they were little, short Japanese boys. But its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog. They lived if they could, died if they must, but they always did it with honor. The true heroes of WWII were the Japanese Americans of the 442nd who helped a country that didn’t even help them. Thank You.

This has been a really fun time making a blog. I loved learning about WWII and the 442nd. They were America’s heroes! And for that, I salute you soldiers. I’ve learned about how the Japanese-Americans were treated. It was dumb when America finally apologized to the Japanese-Americans in 1988. They have been suffering for 6 years, and America hasn’t apologized to them until 1988! Well at least the Japanese-Americans are heroes. This is why we made this blog. To show you why the 442nd Infantry are heroes during WWII. Thank you.

I dedicate this blog to all of our Japanese-American veterans. I had a fun time working on this blog. I learned so many different things about the 442nd. First off, I was only doing this blog for academic purposes only but as I got more into it I wasn’t doing it for academic purposes only, I was doing it because I really got interested in what I was researching about. I went from styles to fashion, and now movies! I also researched on how Japanese-Americans were treated during the war. I learned that they were treated badly and were put into camps because they looked like the enemy. Although these men were treated poorly, they still had the courage and will to fight for a country that didn’t even like them. To go against your own country is a lot. They had to have guts. These veterans had to show loyalty to America and I think that they did a wonderful job on doing that. This whole WWII thing just started as a school project, but after, I not only took this as a school project, it stuck with me through my whole life. It impacted me so much. I also have a special shout out to Mr. Izumigawa, Mr. Arisumi, and Mr. Kurahara for taking the time to share their stories about the past. So, I stand here to salute these veterans.  I honor America’s heroes for their courage and bravery. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Lavinia Sagario: 2nd from the Left

This blog is dedicated to the veterans from the 442nd in World War II. Actually they are “HEROES”. Based on my experience, I have learned a lot from this blog. In the beginning, it was just a challenge project for school. But as I learned more about these heroes this blog is no longer just work to me, this blog is meaningful and it has sentimental value. I would like to honor these heroes. They have fought for our country for how it is today. If it wasn’t for them, America would not be the same. These veterans have worked hard and been through pain. Life wasn’t fair for them back then just because of their appearance. Thank you veterans, or shall I say heroes. It’s such an honor to make this blog. This blog is specially for you. Thank you.

Regina Prudenciano: 2nd from Right

I had a great time working on this blog. Creating this blog was really a hard work to accomplish. I spent a lot of time searching for events that happened during WWII that might be interesting. Before this project I didn’t know what had happen in World War II. But right when I started to search about WWII I got more and more interested in it. But nothing can be harder than fighting for America. These people worked very hard just to show that they are loyal. They had to experience difficult battles. I learned a lot of things from doing this project. From Music to the Attack of Pearl Harbor. This blog has now become a significant part of my experience. I didn’t know that I could be so proud of this. Thank You to all of you Heroes. Thank You for making America what it is now.
